LAPAROSCOPIC SLEEVE GASTRECTOMY WITH LOOP BIPARTITION MORE PHYSIOLOGICAL TECHNIQUE: ONE YEAR EXPERIENCE

Background: Overweight and obesity were estimated to cause 3.4 million deaths, 3.9% of years life lost, 3.8% disability-adjusted life-years (DALYs) worldwide. Bariatric surgery is the most effective modality for long-term weight loss resolving associated comorbidities. However, controversies exist regarding ideal metabolic procedure. This allowed continuous search new techniques.Aim work: evaluate short-term outcomes complications laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy with loop bipartition.Patients Methods: The present study was conducted on fifteen patients who met National Institute Health criteria bariatric surgery. These enrolled in a prospective at Ain-Shams University Hospitals from December 2015 May 2017) they underwent bipartition. Preoperative work up included full history, clinical examination, abdominal ultrasonography, biochemical labs.
